Welcome to Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Augustine
Established in 2007, Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Augustine has been a beacon of Jewish life in the heart of St. Augustine, Florida. Under the dedicated leadership of Rabbi Levi Vogel and his wife Fraidy, along with their four children, our Chabad House has grown into a vibrant community center offering a wide array of services and programs to Jews of all backgrounds.
Our Mission
Our mission at Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Augustine is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish people of all ages and stages. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community, enhancing Jewish knowledge and practice, and promoting acts of kindness and goodwill. We strive to be a source of spiritual guidance, educational enrichment, and communal support, inspired by the teachings of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson.
Our Services
At Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Augustine, we offer a rich tapestry of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our Adult Education programs provide thought-provoking classes on a range of Jewish topics, while our Synagogue serves as a hub for communal prayer and gatherings. We also have a well-stocked Library that offers a wealth of Jewish texts and resources for study and personal growth.
We understand the importance of milestones in Jewish life and offer Bar and Bat Mitzvah Instruction to help young members prepare for their special day. Our Holiday Awareness Programs bring the festive spirit of Jewish holidays to life through engaging, hands-on activities. We also host Communal Lectures featuring distinguished speakers who explore various aspects of Jewish life and thought.
Our Mezuzah and Tefillin Checking services ensure that these important religious items are maintained in accordance with Jewish law. One-on-One Study sessions provide personalized learning opportunities, while our Wheelchair Accessible facilities ensure that everyone in our community can participate in our programs. Our Religious Instruction for Public School Students offers supplementary Jewish education to those attending public schools, and our Anti-Cult & Missionary initiatives provide critical support and information.
We also offer practical services such as Kitchen Koshering to help families maintain a kosher home, and Circumcision services performed with the utmost care and respect. Our commitment to the community extends to Hospital Visitation and Prison Visitation, where we offer pastoral care and support. Our Hospital and Prison Chaplaincy programs provide spiritual guidance and counseling to those in need.
Regular Classes are held to delve deeper into Jewish texts and traditions, while Seniors Visitation ensures that elder members of our community remain connected and supported. For couples preparing for marriage, we offer comprehensive Marriage Prep programs. Additionally, our Funeral Services provide compassionate and respectful support during times of loss.
The Women's Group at Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Augustine is a vibrant space for women to connect, learn, and grow together. Our Humanitarian Aid efforts extend a helping hand to those in need within our community and beyond. We also produce Publications that offer insightful Jewish content and inspiration. Our Mezuzah Loans/Service ensures that every Jewish home can fulfill this important mitzvah. Lastly, our Shabbat/Holiday Hospitality warmly welcomes guests to experience the beauty and joy of Shabbat and holiday celebrations.
